Beauty Hack Thursday!

Apply Vaseline on your pulse points before spraying your perfume to make the scent last longer. Since the ointment is occlusive, it will hold the fragrance on your skin longer than if you were to spray the perfume just onto your skin

Reduce the shine!

I have extremely oily skin, and the summer months are worst. Whenever I get hot and sweat, afterwards my face get, extremely shiny.

Like new money,in the words of my mom!

I have a solution to help reduce the shine.

Milk of Magnesia

Yes! Milk of Magnesia

It is true! MOM is not only great as a laxative, but it is also great as a face primer to help reduce the shine!

MOM can be used to reduce oily skin ,as well as for acne.

This is how I use MOM as a primer to reduce the shine.

Before I apply my foundation, I apply amount of MOM in my t-zone area.

(T-ZONE area is the forehead,nose and cheeks area,like a T)

I apply a small amount MOM and let it dry,and apply my foundation and concealer.

It helps me stay oil free all day!

My suggesting is don't add to much MOM, when I first started using MOM as a primer I added to much and my face felt tight and unconformable.

Other uses

MOM can help in removing black heads, just add the product to the face ,let dry and remove with warm water.

MOM can also be used as a face mask to remove the impurities out of the skin and help minimize pores.

No to oil and yes to MOM!

Shea butter is a universal beauty product that everyone can benefit from.

What is Shea butter? a fatty substance obtained from the nuts of the Shea tree, used chiefly in cosmetic skin preparation.

I am glad you asked,I love it because Shea butter is a super moisturizer , and has wonderful healing properties for the skin. It has vitamins A,E and F

Shea butter is good for improving a number of skin conditions including, blemishes, winkles, burns, sunburns, eczema and help fade dark spots to name a few.

Shea butter can be used on women, men and even kids , can be used on the entire body, including the face.

I like to use Shea butter on my skin after a shower or just anytime to add moisture to my skin.

Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer, but does not leave skin greasy.

For any issue I am having with my skin, Shea butter is my number 1 most used product. My skin can be overly dry , and I am prone to breakouts which the result can leave dark marks, but Shea butter help reduce my skin discoloration.

My husband also like to use Shea butter after shaving, it makes his skin soft and prevent bumping.

Not only can it be used on the skin but, Shea butter can also be used for the hair, which can

help bring moister to dry brittle hair.

Shea butter can be purchase at any store, or you can purchase our Dynasty girl whipped Shea butter.

2 types of lashes

As a makeup artist and a regular false eyelash wearer, I get asked a lot about the different types of lashes. In this blog I will cover strip lashes and individual lashes.

***** strip lashes*****

Eyelash strips come in a variety of lengths and materials, so they can look entirely natural while adding volume to natural lashes, or they can be dramatic, touch-the-eyebrows feathery fake ones in assorted color. Strip lashes can last about 1 or 2 days.

Can you sleep in strip lashes? They can be worn over night, however, from my personal experience, strip lashes don't do well over night, either one would come off or they will be flat and lose their curve.

How much they cost? Since strip lashes come in a variety of brands and material ,the cost will vary. Inexpensive lashes can be purchased as low as $3.00 and expensive lashes can cost $20 +.

Can I apply them my self? Yes, with a little practice .

Can I reuse them? Yes, they can be reused. I usually use mine a couple of time, once the glue is removed from the lashes , they will be good as new.

****** Individual lashes*****

Individual faux lashes differ from strips because they come in singular and tiny strands that can be added to your natural lashes strategically. Adding a few dark, long ones to the outer corners of the eyes creates a cat-eye affect similar to tracing out a long black line across the lashes and outward. Using individual lashes to fill in sparse spots or areas where lashes have fallen out is a great way to build up what you have without using an entire strip.

How long do individual lashes last? They can last up to two weeks.

Can I apply them at home? yes and no! You can apply them at home, but I recommend that they be applied by a professional. Why? Individual lash glue dry rock hard and if it is not applied or removed right, it can result in lose of lashes.

enjoy your lashes!
